I hope you enjoy these commercials, I’m very proud of them, and I think they are something you don’t see everyday. Though they are on a lot, I hope that they challenge our expectations about how a commercial “should” be, and change our expectations. Ruben O’Malley is a cinematographer and occasional director who has had numerous sightings all over the world. Some he will admit to, others not. Lately Ruben has been shooting some really fun commercials, you may have seen the H&R Block wrecking bunny spot, if not check out the links in the news section. Last year he shot a doc in Guantanamo Bay, he is currently engrossed in a documentary of his own called “Tiny Giant”, about a severely disabled performer. There’s a few features for you to check out, “Harvest” and “Deciet” are on Netflix, “Once More with Feeling” is on Showtime quite a bit, and “Twelve Thirty” can be ordered from Amazon.
