A little while ago, I went to the Sturgis rally with Harley Davidson to shoot for them. While we were there, we made this little thing about people who ride in the Black Hills area. It’s a beautiful part of america, and the people really mean it.

Dim Background

The film that opens my site, “Bunny Boy” is short about a lonely child’s hope for a new playmate. It’s a study in style and anticipation. We shot on the RED camera, and it was quite a challenge to work with the snow and sky, it’s totally available light, available dolly, available rabbits. Like the best things, it’s a little “dangerous”.

Ruben O’Malley is a cinematographer and director who lives in Brooklyn, NY, though he has had numerous sightings all over the world. Recently he shot a doc in Gitmo, and a movie he shot “Harvest” has won awards at the Cleveland Film Festival. “Once More With Feeling” is playing on Sundance right now.
